- I think it's great to play with these types of things and try them out, but I'm not a fan of using them yet. I've used one in my short time doing this lark, and feel that tunred out well but it was a texture over a room which was otherwise a little too bare for my liking and it needed a little something extra to make it work for me. I haven't yet taken a shot where I think it would work well with, and was taken for, a particular texture my mind simply does not work in that way. Likewise I haven't got myself into the mindset of taking a photo purely for the purpose of using that as a texture in the future, which I know other photographers do. In your image above I like the texture purely because it adds another element to the image and what could otherwise be a shot without too much focal interest has been changed into a shot with that little bit extra now in it. For me it's the texture itself which has added this, in particular because of how it appears in the clouds, but I don't necessarily see the shot as being one that is a painting rather than a photo, I think I would need to see it printed and framed for my mind to question the actual method used.

14-24 2.8: Get the Nikon and a body if it's that critical unelss you're not pro and/or you can't afford it in that case, get a job 100-400 replacement: Borrrinnnggg! A 400 5.6 IS is a bit more interesting though.24-70 IS: Yes you can't compete with other photographers without this lens, right? Oh wait a minute no one has one!135 1.8 IS: Again, if it's that important, pick up a cheap a850 and a ZA 135. That lens is very nice too (from personal experience). Surely if Canon made that entire list of lenses you mentioned available, you wouldn't go running to the shop to bag all of them at once, right?200-400 f/4 IS: Another boringggg lens have you used the Nikon one? Take it from me it is boring, heavy and for that 200-400 range, there are faster aperture, better lenses that'll do the job much better again, that is if you care about the shots. If you don't care about aperture or you're too lazy to carry the best gear then why not get a 50-500 OS instead?50 1.4 II: Ok no manufacturer has made a perfect fast 50, so there's always room for improvement.85 1.4: Have you tried using the 85 1.2 II? Anyone who has won't complain. It's better at 1.2 than all the current 85 1.4s out there. Plus the slow AF talk is pure BS and I got the shots to prove it.

Hi Dee,Thanks for your great message. You echo the meesagss of so many who have experienced amazing health benefits from the Daniel Fast. I am still humbled that God has called so many to this fast for spiritual purposes and then blesses them with more clarity, improved health and a closer relationship with Him. Again, He demonstrates His abundance.Choose Life Now is not the same as the Daniel Fast, although it was a response to those who wanted to continue their journey in health after their fasting time. CLN is for men and women who want to submit all parts of themselves to the Lord, including their physical body and engage the power of God working inside of them as they develop a lifestyle of health. This is an inside out way of living rather than diets being external. I will look into your question and get back to you. Meanwhile, I do encourage you to declare that which the Lord has already given your husband, which is health. I was healed from a disease I had struggled with for more than eight years when I started ordering my body to act in the way God intended it to behave. It took about two weeks, but I was totally healed from the disease. This was a directive from the Lord and completely scriptural. So use the mustard seed faith to accomplish big things using your faith-filled words.Be blessed!

I don`t really care what the resaon for this pricing is. Maybe they really can`t pull off mass production of this sensor at resaonable costs, as the Phase One technicians predicted. Maybe they got threatened with super expensive highly risky law suits for the reverse engineering of their mounts by Canon, Nikon and Sony and other makers- because they are afraid of an affordable SD1 coming before Nikon releases the D800 or Sony releases it`s own 40 Megapixel APS-C monster, the A770. One must think of things like this, way in advance. But Why don`t we show Sigma a way out of this situation?I could live with that SD1 price, if Sigma made me an offer that every serious medium format maker would make me Let`s take Mamiya / Phase One.If think of buying a Mamiya / Phase One 645 DF camera with a P45+ digital back, I pay the normal price (which includes a great worldwide professional service!)- and I get to choose 2 lenses for free.If I like to have the P65 Back, then I get 3 lenses for free. I can choose any 3 lenses- even the brand new, expensive but world class Schneider-Kreuznach leaf shutter lenses for this type of camera. The SD1 is no medium format camera. Resolution alone makes no professional medium format cam. It has an APS-C size sensor, no tethered shooting, no leaf shutter lenses, no worldwide professional service. But the price is in the medium format class. So, dear Sigma sales team.I kindly ask you to make me the same offer.I would buy the SD1 for the price stated- if you let my choose 2 or 3 lenses with the camera for free. And please, don`t make restrictions like those stupid kit offers from Sigma USA.Just offer me 2 options: I can choose 3 lenses, given the value of each lens doesn`t exceed let`s say 1200€, or I can choose 2 lenses when the value of each lens exceeds 1200€, and set an upper limit for this offer of a maximum lens value of 4500€.Something like that would be nice. I leave it for the sales team to do the math. As a pro, aware of the lack of reliability of Sigma cams from the past, I would have to buy 2 or even 3 bodies anyway- so that I can still get the job done in case one camera freezes entirely and another body suffers from sudden AF or exposure meter death, like it was the case with my other Sigma SDx`s in professional use I already have this great 17-50mm f2.8 OS lens, the 70mm makro, the 105mm makro. I like to have the 8-16mm, the new 50-150mm f2.8 OS and the new 120-300 f2.8 OS, plus the 4.5mm fisheye and maybe a 50mm lens (without those severe focus shift problems like the 50mm 1.4 HSM suffers from, which makes that lens basically unusable wide open, sorry Sigma, that`s true and even confirmed by Sigma technicians) that actually works, or a 30mm prime. Throw in a EF 610 DG Super flash, free with each body (you do know that Metz refuses to make adapters or flash units for Sigma cameras (after SD10) since they so tired of that Sigma-games you play), you got me back on the Sigma table again So, what do you say Sigma sales team?

What distresses me the most about the Maureen Castriotta siatiuton is the way in which the BOE trampled her Constitutional rights. Also, the Board members have now opened us up to a costly law suit because they acted as authority above the Constitution of the United States and can now be officially recalled according to the BOE bylaws. The town lawyer did not read the all of Section 0146. Here is the pertinent part that was omitted at last night's meeting: Board members are entitled to express themselves publicly on any matter, including issues involving the Board and the school district. Individual Board members cannot, however, express the position of the Board except as expressly authorized, in accordance with the Board Policy No. 9120. A Board member shall not represent his/her personal opinion as the position of the Board and shall include in all formal expressions in which his/her Board affiliation is likely to be recognized, such as letters to government officials or newspapers, speeches to organizations and the like, a statement that the opinions expressed do not necessarily represent those of the board. She did not violate that part of the bylaws. According to the bylaws, she was free to express her opinion. It was malicious slander and nothing less. Regarding the walk out . First, it was authorized by Mr. Swanson and Dr. Rossi. They knew the day before that it was going to happen and they did nothing to discourage the students from doing it. This action, in itself, opens us up to any number of law suits. Most of those children were minors. As such, permission slips would be needed to excuse a student from class. I sincerely doubt that 600 permission slips were obtained. Secondly, a permit for lawful assembly was not issued to these students. Thirdly, the press was welcomed at the walk out which makes me believe that either Mr. Swanson or Dr. Rossi invited them to attend.Lastly, if the principal of the high school and the superintendent cannot MANAGE and exert their authority over their students, they are incompetent and should be DISMISSED immediately.Shame on Pat Miller who only stated the view point (and IMHO, a pack of lies) that Rossi and Swanson presented as truth etched in stone. Shame on those who voted to censure Ms. Castriotta. At the very least, she should start the recall procedure against the members of the board for trampling her rights.
