Alfredo SaucePrep Time: 10 mtineusCook Time: 10 mtineusServing Size: 4 8 12 Ingredients1 1/2 cup milk1 1/2 cup heavy cream1/2 cup imported Parmesan cheese, grated1/2 cup imported Romano cheese, grated6 egg yolks from fresh jumbo eggsSalt and black pepper to tasteProceduresHEAT milk and cream in a heavy bottom saucepan until it begins to simmer. Turn off heat. Slowly whip in cheese, then remove from heat.PLACE egg yolks in a separate bowl and slowly whip in a portion of the hot milk and cream mixture. Slowly add egg yolk mixture back into remaining cream mixture. Place back on very low heat and continually stir until simmering. Take sauce off heat so it thickens. (This will increase temperature of egg yolks, known as tempering).SEASON to taste with salt and black pepper. Serve over your favorite pasta.

My daughter has mild aleilgers to peanuts AND soy. Her main reaction is eczema. Thankfully we don't have to worry about life threatening reactions. But until we found out about the allergy, she loved peanut butter sandwiches. Since we couldn't go with soy butter, our allergist suggested Sunbutter. It is made with sunflower seeds. It tastes much like peanut butter and when you put it with jelly, honey or bananas, you can't tell the difference.

The bruleed ciruts reminds me of my Grandma's broiled grape fruit in the mornings. She always could pick the most juicy and sweet grape fruit. By far my favorite part about winter. Ooooh honey cardamom yogurt. Why haven't I thought of that? Sounds fancier than my honey and cinnamon yogurt I'll have to give that one a go! Man, now I'm craving a broiled grape fruit!
