ROTB could not agree more. HOF inclusion is alawys a great barroom-brawl starter. Players such as Larkin and Jack Morris are on today's short list surely. I would also note, there are a surprising number of players long-ago inducted that fit the same general description. This does not mean, however, that these players ought to be on any short list. Their election does not exactly cheapen the HOF; and Ron Santo is a fine choice from the Veterans' Committee. All are superb athletes. If Santo were alive, the 2012 induction ceremony would be a little more exciting. Recent ceremonies have been snoozes. What ought to concern even more is the watering down of the HOF pool (to mix a metaphor slightly) as steroids-associated players are dropped (at least at present) from consideration and others, not so short-list worthy, move up the chain.

You could not be more wrong about #12. Are you serious? Let's start with Minn. That year was abeolutsly sick for any QB & WR Combo until Moss and Brady last year. It was not 12's fault his kicker decided to miss his first FG of the year in the NFC Championship Game. Not to mention 12 doesn't play defense. So you can't blame him for giving up those points in that game. He and Moss carried that team for real. Then lets talk about his years as an eagles. Fog bowl, can't blame 12 for dropping the go ahead TD while being wide open in the End Zone. That honor belongs to that overrated stiff Keith Jackson. Oh wait, what about the time our "great" defense turned in a clunker against Jim Everett and the rams? Made them look like the 07 Colts. Don't get me wrong, 12 share's in the blame and he was a bit of a whack job. But there was a reason for 3 MVP's. Randall was the truth. I'd take him over 5 anyday. Not to mention the bigger whack job of a coach he had. Who gave him no offensive help other than byars. By the time he got the help in Fred B and Calvin W. Our Defense was trash. Reggie was gone, Jerome died, Eric Allen cashed in on FA. B&E was showing signs of wear and tear. Come on man...If you are a true Eagles fan, and watched Randall every week and you're being totally honest with yourself and not blaming him because the media told you to. You truely have to consider him for the HOF. You look at pure talent, the numbers, he's got to be in. First ballet, maybe not. But definitely in.
