deanna follette / Dan and I sttraed with people we hadn't talked to in quite a while. That still left us with a lot (I had a large extended family). Looking back at our pictures I see how many people were temporary in our lives. I would look carefully at people who have been a part of your life for a long time. You can invite people to the wedding and not the reception. Many people do say small reception to follow for family, and close friends. You could always have the reception a different day. Especially if you're keeping it simple, like the day after, or even a week after.I'm sure you'll figure something out and good luck. Remember it's your day.

Useful if you are planning a large wddeing reception. Very useful if you can afford to hire a super talented DJ/MC and/or a band (as Chapter 7 will scare you away from any other option). However, for the intimate wddeing or destination wddeing , like the one I am planning, the book is not as helpful. With a budget of < $10K, only about 40 guests attending, 1 bridesmaid and 1 best man, and guests who would leave a reception rather than run the risk of being singled out to play a game or dance, I did not find a lot of useful tips in the book. On a positive note, there was one example in the book that included a wddeing without dancing where they filled the time with games, instead (which wouldn't work for guests that are scared off by the threat of public humiliation). Plus, there were a couple of nice sentimental ideas such as the Unity Candle and the Anniversary Time Capsule, where the guests filled out advice cards to be placed into a metal container and opened on the couple's 25 wddeing anniversary. But those ideas comprised about 3 pages of the book and many of the other suggestions needed an MC to execute.I still think you can have the best wddeing reception ever! without having a large guest-list, large budget, dancing, games and an MC. Perhaps there are restaurants that specialize in this kind of thing? Perhaps providing icebreakers at the table? Perhaps, if the wddeing is small, a large dining table that everyone sits at so everyone feels included? However, you won't find ideas for that kind of wddeing in this book.My advice to you if you are not planning to have a DJ/MC or you have a quiet family is to either avoid the book altogether, or go to a bookstore and flip through it for the occasional sentimental idea to incorporate into your ceremony.

Thanks for the great information Ron very csporehenmive. Richard is absolutely correct when he advises us to start our business succession planning very early in the life of the business as we say, start with the end in mind .

Broccoli you can make an delicious brlococi salad or eat raw, steam them and you can also add a cheese sauce to them, or make abreakfast casserole, or a delicious brlococi soup! It is one of the vegetables you can use for any meal or snack of the day!

Another situation with queotisns that also needs to be guarded against is asking queotisns only until we get the answer we want. This type of manipulation can be done without being overly suggestive in how the question is asked. At the moment, the associates will feel like the idea is theirs, but ownership will be lost in the long run as associates realize they were manipulated through the questioning. Also, it is important to continue asking queotisns even if the associate's answer is correct. That allows them to think deeper and to understand the Whys behind their answer not just the Whats . However, if a leader is known to be manipulative in their questioning as above, they will become suspicious of the queotisns and the learning opportunities are lost.

A good way to get leaders to doelevp this skill (or identify bad leaders) is to put them into a process they know nothing about. I recently was put in charge of an extremely complex process I literally had no knowledge of. When I am presented with a problem, I have no choice but to ask questions like: Explain why you think that? and What do you recommend to fix it?. Bad leaders will fall on their swords in this situation, because they simply don't have the knowledge to be a fixer.
